Documents required for Schengen Visa applications E-Application form – duly completed on line, website http://e-applicationvisa.esteri.it (for the English version, click on “EN”). You need to print it,
4 pages and the bar code page, and sign it. Passport - valid for at least 3 months from the date of return and there must be at least two blank pages in the document. Photocopy of relevant passport pages: data page, previous Schengen , UK and USA visas. Photocopy of Omani residence permit (for non-Omani nationals). The residence permit must be valid for at least 3 month after the end of the planned trip and must be in the current passport. A recent passport sized color photograph with a white background (3.50X4.50cm) full face, men without head cover. Proof of accommodation during the intended stay: Hotel/s reservation, copy of a rental contract. Flight reservation or flight ticket including return flight. No objection letter from the applicant’s employer, stating: -For OMANI NATIONALS - employment status, monthly salary, position, purpose of travel. -For NON-OMANI NATIONALS – employment status, monthly salary, position, starting date of the employment, purpose of travel, assurances that the applicant will return to Oman after the expiry of the visa. -For applicants who are self-employed, the no objection letter must be signed by an authorized person /local sponsor and a valid original Commercial Registration Certificate must be submitted. The name, position and contact details of the person signing the no objection letter must be clearly written. Evidence of sufficient means of subsistence during the intended stay: Bank statements for the last six months, no older than 1 week in original or photocopy with original bank stamp. Unemployed/house wife/student applicant: must submit a signed declaration of financial support (see link “forms”), a copy of the passport and bank statements (as described above), from the person who is sponsoring the trip. A copy of medical insurance covering a minimum of 30.000 Euros for emergency hospitalization and repatriation expenses valid throughout the Schengen area. The medical insurance has to cover the duration of your stay in Schengen States.

Visa fee to be paid in cash in OMR on the day of the appointment: 60 Euro = OMR 26.900 (last quarter 2018) Processing time can range from 3 to 7 days. Nationals of some countries are subject to consultation procedure which may extend processing time up to 15/20 days. If you are not an Omani national, please check if a prior consultation is required for your nationality (see “Countries subject to prior consultation” in link “forms” ).
